Beach weddings in the South West

We love a beach wedding. Despite what some might think, it is possible to have a beach based wedding in the UK, you just need to have a back-up plan. Here are just a few of our favourites.

The Barn at South Milton. Set atop the hill looking down towards Thurlestone Rock, this rustic barn is a superb wedding venue if you want something a bit different. A stone’s throw from South Milton sands which is perfect for your photos, and they have camping facilities for your guests too.

Marquee at Bigbury-on-Sea. This one is all about the view! Spectacular outlook across Bantham, Bigbury and Burgh Island, this marquee definitely has the Wow-Factor. With everything in one place, supplied by a reputable local marquee company, you wont be disappointed. Take a look…

Tunnels Beaches, Ilfracombe. For a wedding with a real difference, these tunnels were hand carved into the cliffs in the 1820’s. Gorgeous sunsets, rugged scenery and private beaches make for a truly informal, amazing wedding.

Porthmeor Beach Café, St Ives. St Ives has plenty of hotel venues for weddings, but this beach café is something a little different. Ideal for the recovery party after the main event, with al fresco dining and amazing sunsets, you could even squeeze in a spot of surfing.

Lusty Glaze, Newquay. Boasting the accolade of the only beach in Cornwall where you can legally get wed, this is one for you surfers. Sitting on the north Cornwall coast, you get the privately owned beach for the day, to create your dream wedding. They even cater for intimate weddings of 12 people or less, for that truly personal touch.

If you’re planning a beach wedding NOT in the UK, we’ve got a blog for that too.
